In vitro fertilization aims at overcoming difficulties in conceiving that some couples may encounter for many reasons (insufficient ovulation, obstructed fallopian tubes, limited number of sperm…).
IVF consists in replicating in a laboratory the oocytes fecundation by the sperm, a step that naturally happens in the fallopian tubes. Once the embryos are formed, they will be transferred to the uterus so that the pregnancy can take its natural course.

What is in vitro fertilization?
IVF is an assisted reproduction technique where the man's sperm and the woman's egg are united in a capsule in a laboratory, where the insemination is made. The embryo that comes out from this operation is transferred to the uterus of the woman.
The basic steps in the IVF treatment cycle are:
- Ovulation induction (stimulating the development of more than one egg in a cycle)
- Follicular aspiration (retrieving the eggs from the ovaries)
- Insemination
- Embryo culture
- Transfer of the embryo

Fécondation In Vitro
La fécondation in Vitro vise à pallier les difficultés à concevoir que peuvent rencontrer certains couples pour diverses raisons ( ovulation insuffisante, trompes bouchées, spermatozoïdes en nombres limités,...)
La FIV consiste à reproduire en laboratoire la fécondation des ovocytes par les spermatozoïdes, étape se déroulant naturellement dans les trompes de Fallope. Une fois les embryons formés, il s'agira de les transférer dans l'utérus de manière à ce que la grossesse puisse suivre son cours.
L'objectif de notre programme est d'offrir aux couples infertiles la plus grande qualité de soins entraînant des grossesses en santé.

Qu'est-ce-que la fécondation in vitro?
FIV est une technique de reproduction assistée au cours de laquelle les spermatozoïdes de l'homme et l'ovule de la femme sont réunis dans une coupelle de laboratoire, où la fécondation s'opère. L'embryon résultant est transféré à l'utérus de la femme.
Les étapes de base dans un cycle de traitement FIV sont :
- Induction de l'ovulation (stimulation du développement de plus d'un œuf dans un cycle).
- Prélèvement d'ovule.
- Fécondation.
- Culture d'embryon.
- Transfert d'embryon.
