In the light of the clinical monitoring consultations carried out by the genetic counselor/physician who takes in charge the predisposed families to that kind of diseases, the Genetic Counselor establishes a fundamental link with the aim of improving and enhancing the information gathered in the frame of pathology inside one family.

By setting the family tree up and by defining later, accurately, the injuries that have been noticed on the different members of the family, the counselor becomes the regulator of the information needed for the screening molecular analyses, in accordance with ethics and human contact.

Further to the work of the physician, the surgeon, the psychologist and all the caregivers in the cancer treatment, the anxious family can then refer to the Genetic Counselor in order to get all the answers that help them understand the disease at its genetic level.
